CIVIC COEXISTENCE PREPARATION PROJECT

The proposed architectural project involves building spaces for community use that can house, develop theoretical and practical training activities, and facilitate cohabitation and leisure in order to help families acquire or reinforce the abilities and habits necessary for carrying on everyday life within a standardized environment.

The dimensions of each of the two pre-fabricated units are 90 square meters on the first floor, 45 square meters for the partially covered frontal space, and 60 square meters for the upstairs balcony

In this manner, we will construct various types of common-use spaces that will make necessary a series of co-habitational and maintenance practices similar to those developed in an apartment building in which neighborhood rules clearly define the shared and private areas.

Inside, the two buildings have certain fixed installations - restrooms and a wet area, which in one case are laundry rooms and in the other are kitchens.  Both spaces are versatile and can be used by working groups and for very different types of meetings.  In addition, interior storage spaces allow the area to be filled or emptied of furniture or leisure equipment according to the needs of the moment.

This type of construction seeks to create a "spatiality" that gives the pre-fabricated containers volume on two levels.  Coverings also create intermediary areas between the outside environment and the interior space, allowing for increased warmth and shared living.

The budget estimate for the building alone (without including the housing development) is 224,000 Euros (345 square meters X 650 Euros), and the fees involved in directing and executing the project will be 17,900 Euros (8%).
